post-op

well here i am 2 days post-op and feeling a little better. the op was successful, the post-op not so well, i did not recover from the anesthesia as planned. during the afternoon through the evening, i proceeded to work on my race weight and quickly approached ideal polka dot jersey winning weight. i felt good enough to come home yesterday afternoon.

DAILY ESPRESSO: ok, if any of you know me well or spent more than a few hours with me, you know that my only vice is espresso and apparently hospitals don't serve it. so added to the discomfort of the post-op effects of the anesthesia, people pulling my shoulder apart and drilling into it, i was jonesing pretty bad for some creamy espresso. so the team angel stopped by urth caffe on the way home for my usual italia cappuccino [low fat of course]. oh, it never tasted so good.

ok, back on the pain meds for a few more days.
