SHAPE
[tim 'masiguy' jackson / today at lunch]
update: tim is doing much better now, after some time since his horrific track crash. he has been back on [and off] the bike now for some time and we are all hoping that he will be crushing the competition during the 2010 track season, and who knows, maybe even see him on the road too.
tim's bills from the accident are far from paid off and i would like to give you advanced notice that we will be auctioning off a greg lemond autographed jersey soon on ebay to add to all the wonderful support tim got through our paypal medical funds drive [thank you so much to all that donated]. check back here, on the masiguy blog, @timjackson, and @bplusradsport, for more info on the upcoming auction.
update
i would like to add that the jersey was graciously given to help the tim jackson get well fund', by eric stobin of lemond fitness. next time you run into eric, tell him thanks from all of us on the team, especially tim.
ebay auction date to be announced soon, so check back here soon.

BEAUTIFUL
the following is an excerpt from a rouleur feature in issue #9
A world away from these glorious ascents is the brutal torment of Paris-Roubaix: a single day in a Hell wrought by man. Riding in the Panasonic team car after abandoning the mudbath of the 1985 edition of the race, dazed and confused, drunk with pain, Theo de Rooy put it with typical Dutch directness: “It’s bollocks, this race, it’s a whole pile of shit. You’re working like an animal, you don’t have the time to piss and you wet your pants. You’re riding in mud like this and you’re slipping. It’s a pile of shit – you must clean yourself otherwise you will go mad.” Asked if he would ever ride it again, de Rooy instantly replied, “Sure, it’s the most beautiful race in the world!”

2 FUNNY
i know this is off message, just a bit, since it has nothing to do about the team or myself racing, but hell, i haven't had time lately to keep you up to date about the great things going on with the team this off season, i will fill you soon enough, but this is just too funny to pass up.
